Cocoa Om Yoga Center

Cocoa Om Yoga is proud to announce the opening of the Cocoa Om Yoga Center in Hyattsville, MD. This quaint residential studio provides the perfect setting for students to practice yoga under the instruction of Shawna Renee and her team of nationally certified instructors.

The studio offers a variety of yoga workshops as well as monthly presentations on nutrition, healing and natural living. The studio also includes a small retail space featuring fair trade gifts and goodies from Africa and South America.

Most importantly the Cocoa Om Yoga Center allows students the unique opportunity to discover the joys of yoga in a intimate, friendly and non-judgmental environment. Each student will receive the individual attention required to ensure a safe and effective practice.

Workshop Descriptions:

Lighten Up. Enjoy a vigorous 75 minute flow practice designed to get your heart pumping while building muscle and increasing flexibility. We will also work on breathing and meditation techniques designed to address the emotional and hormonal causes of overeating and weight gain. This workshop includes a yoga based nutritional guide complete with a menu plan and recipes. Investment: $115.00 for six weeks.

Yoga Basics . Perfect for the beginner student interested in learning more about the principles of yoga. This six week workshop will focus on proper breathing and alignment in the poses. By the end of the course you’ll have a solid foundation for your Vinyasa (Flow) practice. Investment: $99.00 for six weeks. **Nanny service (Sunday only) - $3.00 per child per class

Soul Asana (Beginner/Level I). Experience a lively fusion of yoga and core work designed to strengthen, balance and elevate the mind, body and spirit to new heights. This 6 week workshop features the fun and inspiring style of teaching that makes Shawna Renee's Soul Asana blissfully unique. Investment $99.00 for six weeks.
